Embode is seeking to engage a Philippines-based National Consultant for Capacity Development Needs Assessment for the Protection of Child Rights in the Justice System. The position is home-based.
About the project
Embode has been commissioned by ASEAN-AUSTRALIA Counter Trafficking programme (ASEAN ACT) to undertake a child development needs assessment for the protection of child rights in the Justice Systems in seven countries i.e. Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam as well as at a regional ASEAN level. The assignment is expected to run from January 2021 to June 2021.
The main focus of this assignment will be to lead a capacity needs assessment of child protection duty bearers in the justice sector in the Philippines. The assessment seeks to understand how children are currently treated by the justice system in order to determine and design support for the justice sector and related agencies. The findings of the assessment will then be used to develop a capacity strengthening plan for targeted justice sector and relevant institutions working with children and counter trafficking.
