Job Role

As a Social Media and Communications Associate at Embode, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying our company brand, engaging audiences on human rights issues, and influencing public debate on solutions to critical social issues. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media and communication strategies to raise awareness, drive engagement, and promote our initiatives,projects and thought leadership across many digital platforms. The role will begin as a part time, project-based contract with the possibility of growing the role to a more core team position. 

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy and Management:
 

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.

  • Manage all social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) including content creation, publishing, monitoring, and engagement.

  • Grow and nurture our social media communities by fostering meaningful interactions, responding to inquiries, and addressing concerns.

  • Utilise analytics tools to track and analyse social media performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimise strategy and content.

  • Create, manage and build a digital community ensure high engagement levels 

  • Support the Executive Director in growing their profile and personal brand

Content Creation and Curation:

  • Create compelling, shareable content (e.g., posts, articles etc) that educates and informs our audience 

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., researchers, consultants) to source content and stories for social media campaigns.

  • Update content on website within agreed guidelines
     

Brand Management:

  • Update branding guidelines and strengthen the organisation's brand identity and public expression through consistent messaging and informative articles.

  • Respond promptly to any online reputation management issues or crises, taking appropriate action to mitigate negative sentiment and maintain trust.

 

Community Management:

  • Foster and nurture our online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and facilitating meaningful conversations aligned with Embode’s mission and thought leadership.
  • Develop and implement strategies to encourage user-generated content and participation within our community.

  • Manage Embode’s digital platform where we are housing our training, events and inner community of practice
     

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of communication efforts.

  • Engage with partners and stakeholders to amplify our message, build partnerships, and expand our reach.

 

Stay Informed and Innovate:

  • Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in social media, digital marketing, and communications.

  • Continuously innovate and experiment with new strategies, formats, and tools to engage audiences effectively.
